Franklin Foster Lovering, 87, passed away December 22, 1999 in Albuquerque, NM after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Golding Lovering; children, Franklin Peter Lovering, Bend OR, Janet R. Thompson, Albuquerque, NM, Kathy L. Newens, Longmont, CO; brothers, John Lovering, Framingham, MA, Ralph Lovering, Palm Coast, FL; sisters, Ruthe Hubbell, Conway, NH, Jane Greene, Houston, TX; grandchildren, Kris and Tim Lovering, Talent, OR, Curt Kessler, Portland, OR, Craig Kessler, Austin, TX, and Jacque Kessler, Sherman Oaks, CA. Frank was born July 5, 1912 in Medford, MA. He attended Exeter Academy and graduated with honors from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1935. He married his childhood sweetheart Ruth Golding of Medford in 1937. He was an engineer with Phillips Petroleum CO for 42 years and resided In Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma during his long and distinguished career. He retired as Permian Basin Regional Manager in 1977 in Odessa, Texas. He had recently moved to Albuquerque, NM to be near his family. Interment of cremains will be in the family plot near Hamilton, MA. at a later date. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to your favorite charity.
