General Oliver served in Korea and Vietnam. He desperately loved and defended his country. Retiring from active duty in 1972, he found he wasn't quite ready to put his military career behind him and continued with the New Mexico State Defense Force until 1994. His love for music, his beautiful singing voice, reading, traveling the roads of his country and his never ending love, strength and guidance kept him very occupied and made him the love of our lives.
