Grace Mae Swetnam, 72 years old, passed away in Santa Fe, NM, November 2, 1999. A resident of Northern New Mexico for over 50 years. She was the wife of Fred R. Swetnam, a longtime U.S.F.S. District Ranger. The last 25 years of her life she resided in Espanola where she continued her lifelong Advocations which were mostly volunteer, non-paid, services in Library board work for The Espanola City Administration and"Friends of Espanola Library." Also 25 years of service as a volunteer worker at the Espanola Hospital, serving on two foundation boards. Indetailed Service work each week she specialized in giving assistance at the Information Desk. Within the Auxiliary she had served as President, Board member, and as Director of Volunteer Services. She also had State Board service. Survivors are husband, Fred; one sister; four children; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
