Obituary for Leikvoll

Helen Pryor Leikvoll dies in California. Helen, born and raised in Albuquerque, daughter of Fred T. Pryor and Alice Calkens, a pioneer family, was 78. Born December 29, 1920 and died April, 1999. She attended Lewallace and 4th St. grade schools. She graduated from Harwood Girls School. She obtained a Teacher's degree in Loma Linda, California. Taught 4th and 5th grades. She became an accomplished musician and soloist. She loved old time religious music. She will be missed by many, one son, Darrell Whitman, wife, Rachel, and daughter, Geneveve of California; one sister, Alyce Joy Chambers of California, sisters, Delphia or Betty Isaacs of Albuquerque; brother, Bodie Pryor of Port Arthur, Texas, and brother, William Pryor and wife, Kathy of Aurora, Colorado. Memorial to be held at Garfield Chapel, 2406 Garfield Ave. SE, Albuquerque, on November 12 at 10:00 a.m. Mr. Robert Gleason officiating. Cremains to be buried in family cemetery, Mountain View, Barton, New Mexico.
