Obituary for Lueras

Bernard A. Lueras, 42, beloved and devoted father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, was called home to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 4, 1999. Bernard was born on December 13, 1956 to Ambrosio H. and Esther Lueras in Albuquerque, where he was a lifelong resident; he was a Rio Grande High School graduate and received his degree in Electrical Engineering from T.V.I.; he was an Electrical Inspector with the County of Bernalillo; a parishioner of St. Anne's Catholic Church; a member of the Internation Association of Electrical Inspectors, IBEW Local Union #611, Moose Lodge and the Elks. Bernard is survived by three sons, Benjamin A. Lueras, Byron A. Lueras, Cristobal R. Lueras and wife, Sandra, all of Albuquerque; one daughter, Audrey L. Lueras also of Albuquerque; one granddaughter, Destynee Gonzales. Also surviving are his mother, Esther P. Lueras; six brothers, Joe, Achie, Paul, Alex, Ralph and Dennis Lueras; three sisters, Guadalupe Burciaga, Cecilia Olivas and Regina R. Lueras; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of friends; and his special pet, Bebe. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and all those who knew him. A memorial rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, located on the corner of 8th St. and Stover. Funeral services were in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW, 243-5222.
