David N. Grimes, 72, passed away November 5, 1999 from pneumonia and complications from Parkinson's disease. David was born May 7, 1927 in Walters, OK to David Russell and Jessie Noel (Adkins). He graduated from Lawton High School and served in the U.S. Army. He attended Cameron Jr. College and graduated in 1951 from Oklahoma University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was also a Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. After his time in the service he worked for General Electric in Milwaukee, WI and later moved to Albuquerque to work for ACF and later General Dynamics. A resident of Albuquerque for 38 years, he is survived by his son, Michael D. Grimes and wife, Julie of Albuquerque; and his sister, Mary Sue Ott of Lawton, OK. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 9, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Central United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
