Dorothy Bowers Stratton, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 1999 at the age of 87. She had been a resident of Albuquerque for the past 40 years, and a resident of Manzano Del Sol retirement community for the past 18 years. Mrs. Stratton was preceded in death in 1985 by her husband, Commander Roy Stratton, U.S. Navy, Ret. Survivors include her sister, Kathryn McDowell of Winston-Salem, NC; her daughters, Ann Duffy of Colorado Springs, CO and Sherry DeTata of Florence, CO; numerous nieces and nephews; and her very dear friend, A.C. Hargrave of Albuquerque. A memorial service will be held at Manzano del Sol, 5201 Roma NE, on Saturday, October 23 at 10:00 a.m. Private interment will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Dorothy's memory to a charity of choice. Sunrise Society is serving the family of Mrs. Stratton. (891-8200).
