Obituary for Lauffenburger

Arthur Albert Lauffenburger (42) of Miami Beach, Florida, died Friday, October 15, 1999. He was born November 1, 1956, in Redwood City, California and moved to Albuquerque with his family in 1972 where he attended and graduated Sandia High School and the University of New Mexico. While attending College he was active in Albuquerque Little Theatre and Civic Light Opera and New Mexico Orchid Society. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a certified arborist and was a student judge with the American Orchid Society. Arthur recently founded the Miami Beach Chapter for the American Orchid Society and was an active member of the Miami Beach Garden Conservancy. The orchidarium at the garden will be dedicated to Arthur. Memorial Services were held in Miami Beach at the Garden Conservancy on Sunday, October 17. He is survived by his life partner, Phillip Morris of Miami Beach; parents, Pat and Art; sister, Winnie Comyford; brother-in-law, Glen; niece, Brandy, and nephew, Justin of Albuquerque; sister, Sarah of Miami Beach; and aunts, uncle, and cousins. He will be remembered with love by all of those he touched.
