John Lansing Betz--Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 1999, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for John Lansing Betz, age 52, of Dexter, New Mexico, who passed away October 17, 1999 at his home. Rev. Onsy Whicker of Tabernacle Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. John was born on June 11, 1947 in York, Pennsylvania to John and Violet Hardin Betz. His father preceded him in death. His mother lives in Roswell. Survivors include two sisters, Wendy Betz and Susie Betz, both of Roswell. He was preceded in death by a sister, Cathy M. Betz. John was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
