Anthony John"A.J." Pappas, 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Friday, October 15, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Angeline"Angie" Pappas of Albuquerque; children, Dean Pappas and wife, Betta of Atlanta, GA, Elaine Arapostathis of La Mesa, CA, Anna Maria Chappell of Ft. Collins, CO, John Pappas and wife, Becky of Las Vegas, NV and George Pappas of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Shaun Chappell, Kimberly Chappell, Evan Arapostathis, Mark Arapostathis, Kris Trotman, Toni Brandt, Dean Pappas II, A.J. Pappas and Alexia Pappas; and great-grandchildren, Ellen Trotman, Tyler Trotman and Grace Brandt. Mr. Pappas was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Trisagion will be held Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Services will be held Monday, 1:00 p.m., at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High St. SE, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High St. SE 8702.
