Obituary for Eudy

Banks Edwin"Ed" Eudy, Jr., 77, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 1999 on his 53rd wedding anniversary, after a short illness of cancer. He was born in Tarentum, PA, reared in Chicago, IL and Cleveland, OH, with roots in Mississippi. Ed graduated from the University of Alabama in 1943. As an officer in the European Theater during WWII, he assisted in the liberation of concentration camps and post-ware administration. After marriage to his beloved wife in 1946, he began his career in banking at Central National Bank of Cleveland, OH as a personnel manager, moving on to the Bank of New Mexico as Assistant Vice-President, and finally to the Republic National Bank of Dallas, TX, where among other achievements, he organized their European Mortgage Loan division while residing in London. Ed retired as Executive Vice-President of Republic National Bank in 1984. Returning to Albuquerque in 1985, he was active in SCORE and VFW Post 10763, as well as being an avid golfer and travel enthusiast. He is survived by his adored wife, Margaret"Ginger" Hofelich Eudy; three daughters, Mary M. Eudy of New Britain, CT, Carol Anne Brannan of Albuquerque and Patricia B. Eudy of Big Sky, MT; and his dog, Buddy. We will all miss him more than words can say. Memorial prayer services will be held Friday, 2:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Father Paul Baca officiating. Interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
