Obituary for Marken

Mary Esther Grzelachowski Marken passed away Monday, October 11, 1999, at 5:10 a.m. She was born January 31, 1912, in Santa Rosa, NM. She was a teacher in Santa Rosa and was later an insurance agent for Marken Insurance, a representative of Farmer's Insurance in Los Alamos. She was married to Lawrence G. Marken in Belen, NM on May 2, 1941. Mrs. Marken lived in Puerto de Luna, Pastura, Santa Rosa, Los Alamos, and Albuquerque. She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Lawrence G. Marken Jr., Charles R. Marken and wife, Juanita C. of Albuquerque, and Angeline Marken Kinnaman and her husband, Daniel L. of Rawlins, WY; grandchildren, Wayne Marken of Melbourne, FL, Elizabeth Marken of West Point, NY, and Andrew and John Kinnaman of San Francisco, CA; her brother, Charles Grzelachowski of Ft. Worth, TX; and her cousin and lifelong friend, Sister Carolyn Ortega of Oruro, Bolivia; and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; granddaughter, Dana Michelle Kinnaman; and five brothers and sisters. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Church with internment to follow at the Rose Garden at Sunset Memorial Park at 4:00 p.m.
