Obituary for Grebe

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday October 14, 1999

Donna Evans Grebe, 79, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 14 years, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 1999. Donna was born February 23, 1920, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah E. Shelton Evans in Salt Lake City, Utah. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Grebe on August 13, 1996. She is survived by her son, James Robert Grebe and wife, Carol of Fullerton, CA; daughters, Jolene Manning of Rio Rancho, and Jae Templeton and husband, Scott of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Rachael Manning, Carlton and Breck Grebe and Travis and Alexis Templeton. Our Mom was devoted to her family and was a loving wife to our father before his death. Our parents were always close to our hearts. We were a very compatible and close knit family. Sharing the laughter and the tears, the good times and the bad. They were exemplary parents who we were very proud of, who stuck by us, and finally people we loved very much. The loss of both will remain with us for a very long time, if not forever. But if any good can come from losing ones parents, it is the comfort that both have been united in the Kingdom of God. To the many friends and family members who have supported and stuck with us during both of their illnesses. For lack of a better word, Thank you. Your support made things a little bit easier to bear. They will truly be missed by all of us and will never be forgotten. Jim, Jolene, and Jae. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1100 Montano Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Keep New Mexico Beautiful, Inc., P.O. Box 09024, Albuquerque, NM 87199-0924 or to Sandia Hospice, 4775 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.
