Marcella S. Sadilek, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, October 6, 1999. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Julius of the family home; daughter, Julie S. Moore and husband, Richard (Dick) of Pittsford, NY; son, Julius B. (Jay) Sadilek Jr. and wife, Maureen of Renton, WA; grandchildren, Andrea M. Collins and husband, Eric of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, Richard I. Moore Jr. and wife, Stacy of Harper Woods, MI, Alisa M. Sadilek of Renton, WA; great-grandchild, Charles P. Collins of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI. Mrs. Sadilek was born on January 15, 1920 in New Orleans, LA, to Charles and Marcella Schwalb. She attended schools in New Orleans. After graduating from Soule Business College, she worked for Paramount Pictures in New Orleans. She met her husband, Julies, in Biloxi, MS, on Labor Day weekend in 1939. They were married in a military wedding on February 8, 1941 in New Orleans. After World War II, she accompanied her husband on his various tours of duty throughout the world, including Europe and the Far East. After her husband's retirement from the miliary, she worked at the College of Education at UNM for many years and retired in 1979. She was a member of the Alta-Mera Pagentry of the Yucca Temple No. 74 Daughters of the Nile. She was active for many years in the Officer's Wives Club and was a lifelong member of the Sts. John Chapter #35 of the Order of the Eastern Star in New Orleans, LA. She was also a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church. Services will be held Monday, October 11, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at Ballut Abayd Shrine Temple, 6600 Zuni Rd. SE, with Reverend John Russell officiating. Interment will take place Tuesday, October 12, 1999, 12:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Sunday, October 10, 1999, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Daughters of the Nile Convalescent Endowment Fund, P.O.
