Albert (Al) C. Olds, 75, formerly of East Molina, Illinois, died Friday, October 1, 1999, at his home in Albuquerque. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 17, at Bethel Baptist Church, Port Byron, IL. Al was born May 22, 1924 in Fulton, Illinois, the son of Ralph and Nellie Jenkins Olds. He married Peggy Townsend in 1985. He retired from International Harvester, East Moline after 30 years. He went on to own and operate his farm in Pomona, Missouri, prior to settling in Albuquerque. His interests and accomplishments included building and remodeling homes, barbershop singing, hunting, fishing and traveling. He was also a licensed instrument flight instructor pilot. Survivors include his wife; his son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Judy Olds, East Moline; daughter, Nancy Olds, Moline; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Larry Curry, De Soto, TX; and sister, Carol Carlson, Corvallis, OR.
