Mr. Johnny A. Gurule died Sunday in Tucson, AZ at the age of 39. Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Florencio Gurule and survived by his mother, Marion Gurule; children, Angelo Gurule Baca, Tiauna Gurule Taylor, Lea Gurule, and Angela Gurule; brothers and sisters, Josephine Gurule, Charles Gurule, Anthony Gurule, Betty Gurule, William Gurule, and Anna Gurule; granddaughters, Angela Morales; and family and friends. Funeral services for Johnny will be held on Saturday at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Florencio (Flore) Gurule, Paul Vargas, George Kenney, Vivian Saavedra, Eddie Aranda and Richard Barreras. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Saavedra, Manuel Vargas Jr., Steve Barreras, Adam Aranda, Nick Aranda and Willie Sprunk. A Rosary for Johnny will be recited on Friday evening, 7:30 p.m., at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
