"Elizabeth (Lee) Zavadil, nee Vanek, 93, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully at home on November 3, 1999. A devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; and her two children, Joseph and Constance. She is survived by her brother, Ollie Vanek; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Zavadil; her nephews, Bob Zavadil, Dennis Zavadil, Ben Vanek, and Melvin Vanek; her nieces, Sister Anthony Marie Kasper, S.S.N.D., Virginia Mika, and Joyce Vanek-Nielsen; her grandchildren, Mary Gutierrez, Joseph Zavadil, Peter Zavadil, John Zavadil, Thomas Zavadil, and Elizabeth Zavadil-Davis; and her great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Joseph, and Elena Gutierrez. She was interred at the family plot in St. Louis on November 13, and a special Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Albuquerque at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, so that Masses can be said in Lee's memory.
