Agnes Stanton, 83, died Sunday, November 14, 1999. Mrs. Stanton was born in Sheridan, WY and was a resident of Albuquerque since 1956. She is survived by her husband, Willis of the family home; son, Alan Stanton and wife, Doreen of Santa Fe; daughter-in-law, Laurie Stanton of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Carrie and Elena Stanton of Albuquerque, and Brian and Christina Stanton of Santa Fe. She is also survived by her nephews, Michael Hotchkiss of Bloomfield, NM, Phillip Hotchkiss of Gillette, WY and Warren Stevenson of Buffalo, WY; nieces, Lanice Smith of Buffalo, WY, Barbara Hotchkiss of Buckskin, MT. She was preceded in death by her son, Jay Stanton; two brothers; and one sister. Mrs. Stanton was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, and was active in Dorcas Circle and the Jolly Elders. Mrs. Stanton was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Thursday, November 18, 1999, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Rev. Gerald White officiating.
