Obituary for Key

James A."Jimbo" Key, 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1977, died Tuesday, November 9, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen Walton Key of Albuquerque; daughter, Jan LeaNell Mann of Jacksonville, FL and April Lealia Key of Henderson, NV; grandchildren, Brittany Alexandria Wilson and Jasmine Patrice McCloud; brother, John F. Key Jr. and wife, Dolores of Flushing, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mr. Key was a teacher and administrator for the Detroit Public Schools System in Detroit, MI. He later worked as a Logistics Coordinator for the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Key was also a faithful member of Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board and Sunday School teacher. Remembrance services will be held Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Rev. Mary Jaynes officiating. Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 339 Pennsylvania NE, with Rev. Nathaniel D. Smith and Rev. James F. Billups officiating. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy Moore, Gary Richardson, Will Wilson and George Spaulding. Honorary pallbearers will be Dolphus Banks, Robert McCauley, John Pennington, Mose Prince and Nathaniel Holloway. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
