Homer E. Tunnell, born March 18, 1912, died peacefully at home in Albuquerque on February 28, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vestal of Albuquerque; son Jerrold and wife Marlene, and grandson Matthew of New Jersey. He is also survived by his sisters, Fern Smith of Albuquerque and Opal Barbee of Kansas; and brothers Blaine and Howard of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his daughter Joanne. He was a veteran of World War II and a long term resident of Farmington before moving to Albuquerque, where he was a member of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Sunrise Society, 3636 San Mateo NE serving the family of Mr. Tunnell.
