Kayleigh Marie Wharff, was born May 13, 1987, in Carlsbad, NM, to Daniel R. and Dorinda L. Giboney Wharff. She had attended Bush and Lamar Elementary Schools, and was presently attending Washington Elementary. Kayleigh was a member of Mockingbird Heights Church of Christ, a cheerleader with Greater Midland Football Cheerleading associates for three years and was a Girl Scout with Troop #447. Kayleigh died, Wednesday, February 24, 1999 at New York Hospital. Kayleigh is survived by her parents, Dori and Dan Wharff of Midland; her grandparents, Jeanne Giboney of Augusta, Georgia, Ned and Judy Wharff of Hobbs, NM and Rich and Carol Johnson of Rio Rancho, NM; her great-grandparents, Barbara Hammond of Hobbs, NM, Ben and Della Johnson of Espanola, NM; her aunts and uncles, Bill and Denise Wharff, Robert Wharff, Eddie Wharff, Joylynn Wharff, Jennifer Wharff, Kimberly Johnson, Greg Johnson, Shirley Johnson, Scott and Rhain Giboney, and Kerry and Stephanie Giboney. Funeral Services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Fairmont Park Church of Christ with Bill Wharff officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
