Barbara R. Baca, 79, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, was called home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 22, 1999. Ms. Baca was a resident of Albuquerque, she was born on May 15, 1919 in San Antonio, NM; she was a home health nurse volunteer and a member of the Sacred Heart League and the Blue Army. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rumaldo and Gregoria Baca. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Garcia of Albuquerque; her grandson, Patrick Baca; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; brother, Arturo Ramirez and wife, Charlette of Albuquerque; sister, Virgie Thies and husband, Walter of Kingman, AZ. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitations will be today, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary on the corner of 8th St. and Stover, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, 9:00 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW.
