Charles S. Roger, Jr., 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Lila L. Roger, of the family home; daughter, Patricia M. Roger and husband, Michael Ward of New Orleans, LA; grandsons, peter Roger Ward and Nathaniel Roger Ward; and granddaughter, Amelia Roger Ward, all of New Orleans, LA. He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen John Roger and sister, Katherine A. Roger. Mr. Roger served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired in 1969 from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers after 31 years of service. He was a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Memorial services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m., at La Mesa Presbyterian Church, 7401 Copper Ave. NE, with Rev. Kathi Hunter officiating. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
