Leroy"Butch" Downtain, born January 7, 1945, joined the Lord on February 18, 1999. He is survived by three brothers of Cimmeron, KS, Lawrence Downtain, Dale Ashcraft and Dean Ashcraft. He is also survived by his two daughters of Albuquerque, Diana Johnson and her husband, Ed, Geanie Hitchcock and her husband, Brian; along with five grandchildren, Eddie, Don, Terri, Breanna and Garrett. Services were held on Saturday, February 20, 1999 at Albuquerque Baptist Church. Cremation arrangements were provided by Metropolitan Direct Burial and Cremation Center, Inc., 601 Mountain Rd. NW, Albuquerque, 766-9400.
