Obituary for Hoover

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, John J. Hoover, 69, passed into eternal life and into the arms of Jesus Christ on February 17, 1999. John had been a resident of the Albuquerque and Bosque Farms area for over 22 years. He is survived by his wife, Oleta of 48 years. Also four children, Lisa Pruitt and her husband, Tim, Sheila Hoover, Darryl Hoover and Pam Puryear and her husband, Rich. John leaves behind his granddaughter, Tammy Brewer and her husband, Phillip; and grandson, Johnathan Pruitt. Mr. Hoover is survived by nine brothers and sisters; three step-brothers and sisters; and many friends. He had retired from the Albuquerque Underground Co., where he worked as a construction superintendent. The family will receive friends at the chapel of Riverside Funeral Care Center of Los Lunas, Friday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 20, 11:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Bosque Farms, 1350 Bosque Farms Blvd. Interment will be held Tuesday in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Aragon, Pablo Sumann, Steve Drennan, Lamuel Baca, Buz Biernacki, Richard Johnson and Stan"Dino" Montano. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit at P.O. Box 26666, Albuquerque, NM 87125-6666.
