Roy E. Smith, 68, of Edgewood and a resident of the Albuquerque area since 1942, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Lucille C. Smith of Edgewood, NM; brother, Norman L. Smith of Albuquerque; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Leo R. and Irene Smith; and his brother, Leo Marion Smith. He worked for many years at Sandia National Labs. Mr. Smith was a member of the Edgewood Senior Center, New Mexico Horse Council, Northern New Mexico Horse Assoc. and New Mexico Carriage Assoc. Memorial graveside services will be held Saturday, February 20, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at Mountain Valley Cemetery in Barton, NM, with Errol Stepp, Minister of Valley View Christian Church officiating. Family requests no flowers.
