Donald Earl Hoyt passed away in the morning of February 12, 1999. He was born in Rochester, New York on August 30, 1931. Don graduated from Heidelberg College, Tiffin, Ohio, specializing in the classic language of old German. Don spent most his adult working life in front of a microphone as a disc jockey for classical music, first in Chicago, and then for 16 years with KNME in Albuquerque. He was a widely heard, respected authority. Don loved music and was a powerful baritone. His singing in the choir of The Cathedral of St. John, in Albuquerque, and in other venues gave many people great pleasure. Don said that he felt satisfied with his past achievements and especially the growing closeness with his family. He is survived by his two daughters, Lucy Richardson of Nacogdoches, TX and Ingrid Krajicek of New Paltz, NY; and his friend, Ronee Henson. Thank you, Don, for your gifts and your wonderful wit. Services will be held at The Cathedral of St. John, Fourth and Silver, Friday, February 19, 1999, at 2:00 p.m.
