Camilla Teresa Pargas Harrison, 48, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, September 4, 1999. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Duane Harrison; daughter, Teresa Harrison of Albuquerque; son, Sean Harrison of Santa Fe; brothers, Jimmy Valespino and wife, Virginia of Deming, Ben Pargas and wife, Marilyn, Tony Pargas, Ralph Pargas Jr., Michael Pargas and wife, Patricia, Steve Pargas, and Richard Pargas and wife, Diane, all of Albuquerque; sister, Kathy Keddy and husband, John of Albuquerque; parents, Ralph and Adella Pargas. Camilla was chosen and awarded the Susan G. Komen Foundation Local Hero of the Year award. She was actively involved with the group People Living Through Cancer. Camilla received medical retirement from USWest Communications. She worked with First Choice and helped with early detection of breast cancer. Services will be held Tuesday, September 7, 1999, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be nephews, Dominic Pargas, Johnny Keddy, Steven Beau Harrison, Ralphie Pargas, Jonathan Harrison, and Antonio Parra. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Monday, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to People Living Through Cancer at 323 8 SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
