Beatrice Gurule, born July 14, 1915, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 1999 after a long illness. She is survived by her son, Gilbert Madrid of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughters, Nancy Herrera and husband, William of Garden Grove, California, Theresa Brenno and husband, Don of Smithville, Missouri, Bernadette Candelaria and husband, JJ of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter-in-law, Barbara Madrid of Las Vegas, New Mexico; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Monico Madrid; and her second husband, Eulalio Gurule; her son, Monico W. Madrid. She was a resident of New Mexico for 84 years, and the oldest of 13 children. She was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 27, 1999 at Palm Chapel 1100 Coal Ave SE. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 27, 1999 at Palm Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 1999 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Father Johnny Lee Chavez officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Blair, Mark Madrid, Chad Wheeler, Monico Candelaria, Jerry Madrid, Melissa Herrera. Honorary Pallbearers will be Machelle Madrid, Monica Blair, Monique Brenno, Katrese Wheeler, Mindy Brenno Kendra Candelaria, Brenna Wheeler. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd. NE Albuquerque, New Mexico 87102. Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE in charge of arrangements.
