Obituary for Chavez

Lilly Chavez, 88, a longtime resident of Polvadera, NM, and currently living with her daughter in Dover, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clemente in 1987. Lilly was a member of the Catholic Church in Polvadera, NM. She is survived by her daughter, Maryann Baker and her husband, Mark; five grandchildren, Aubrey Lewis and her husband, Brad, Aaron and his wife, Christy, Andrew and Colleen Baker; four great-grandchildren, Ethan and Elizabeth Lewis and Lillian, and Aerial Baker; sister, Neph Garcia and her husband, Justiniano; sisters-in-law, Philomena Chavez and Lucy; brothers-in-law, Oscar, Moises and Luciano Chavez. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Sunday, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will take place in the Polvadera Cemetery. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen, NM.
