Simon Leyba, age 70, passed away August 23, 1999. He is survived by his two brothers, Edward Leyba and wife, Lucille, Orlando Leyba and wife, Carmen; eight sisters, Sister Orlanda Leyba, Cordy Quinones and husband, Jack, Pauline Quintana and husband, Paul, Carmen Montano and husband, Tommy, Henrietta Leyba, Cathie Lopez and husband, Chris, Helen Herrera and husband, Gilbert, and Theresa Leyba; many nieces and nephews. Simon was a lifelong bachelor, traveler, and free spirited. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning, 9:00 a.m., at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Penasco, NM, with interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Norbert R. Baldonado Jr. F.S.I.
