Obituary for Corn

Arlene Cresswell Corn, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 15, at home in Lockhart, Texas. She was born in Joplin, MO in 1913. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George H. Corn, in 1975; and a sister, Mary Pratt, in 1993. She is survived by two daughters, Georgia George and husband, Don of Lockhart, TX and Arzetta Yates and husband, Tom of Los Lunas. She is also survived by one sister, Johnnita Johnson of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Los Chavez. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 18, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Home, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE, with Funeral services at First Baptist Church of Los Chavez at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 19, with Boyd Morerod officiating. Final interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque. Pallbearers will be Chuck George, Galen George, David Yates, J.T. Hayes, Danny Demar, Victor Powell and Rick Yates. Arrangements under the direction of Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, Albuquerque, NM.
