James Arthur Major, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died November 25, 1999 in Denver, CO. He was born January 5, 1911 in Pilot Point, Texas and was married to Vera Burt, December 20, 1932 ,in Socorro. He is survived by his wife; son, James Major and wife, Bobbi of El Paso, TX; daughter, Camille and husband, Pershing Rexroad of North Highlands, CA; son, Steven Major of Denver; and brother, Charles Robert Major and wife, Lena of Albuquerque, plus many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services were held in Denver and the cremains will be placed with his parents, John E. and Winnie F. Major in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Albuquerque.
