Mr. Rey"Squinkie" Gilbert Vargas died Saturday at the age of 44. Mr. Vargas is survived by his mother, Isabel Hernandez; his wife, Debi Vargas; his son, Rey Vargas; two daughters, Angelique Vargas and Tiffany Gallegos; three brothers, Michael Vargas, Tom Hernandez Jr., Michael Hernandez; two sisters, Ramona Evelyn Gonzales and her husband, David, Sandra Pusac and her husband, Charles; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Vargas will be held on Tuesday at the St. Francis Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Deacon Andy Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at the Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Martinez, Joe Hernandez, Leroy Tafoya, Chris Martinez, Tony Encinias, and Joey Sandoval. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Hernandez, Joseph Archuleta, and David Gonzales, Jr. A Rosary will be recited on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church.
