David V. Chavez, 67, passed away Sunday, September 19, 1999 at Socorro, NM. He was born May 18, 1932 to Efriam and Prudencia Gonzales Chavez in San Antonio, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Flora Witner. He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe (Montoya) Chavez of their home in Socorro; daughter, Linda Mullen of Florida; brothers, Efriam Chavez Jr. and Marianno Chavez, both of Albuquerque, Tony Chavez of Castro Valley, CA, Sammy A. Chavez of San Antonio, NM and Rafael Chavez of Socorro; sisters, Ramona Padilla of San Antonio, NM and Cristella Pino of Socorro; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Steadman-Hall Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, September 21, 7:00 p.m., at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 22, 11:00 a.m., at San Miguel with Father Bill Sanchez as Celebrant. Interment will be in the San Antonio Cemetery.
