Obituary for Romero

Antonio A. Romero, 70, a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years, died Sunday, September 5, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gloria G. Romero of the family home; daughter, Karen Marie Snyder and husband, J. Kurt of Albuquerque; sons, Antonio A. Romero Jr. and wife, Liane P. of Charlottesville, VA, Stephen T. Romero and wife, Samantha, and Paul B. Romero and wife, Christine, all of Albuquerque; sisters, Adelina Gallegos and Prudence Sanchez, both of Albuquerque and Carmen Guerrera of Belen; brothers, Higinio Romero of Tome, NM, Fermin Romero of Kissimmee, FL, Nick Romero and Clory Romero, both of Belen; five grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Antonio was preceded in death by his brothers, Alex and Jesus Romero. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Romero was a member of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 5525 Fortuna Road NW, with Deacon Harry Beare reciting. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church, with Rev. Joel Garner, O.P., Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Gallegos, Reuben Romero, William Kurth, Mark Lippman, Richard Duran and Peter Duran. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
