Obituary for Martin

Johnnie Miles Martin, 71, a resident of Albuquerque for over 47 years, died Monday, September 27, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Martin of Albuquerque; daughter, Diane Martin of Albuquerque; son, David Martin and wife, Pam of Albuquerque; daughters, Linda Ray and husband, David of Albuquerque, and Joyce Lente and husband, J. of Rio Rancho; step-daughters, Cynthia Hernandez and husband, Tommy of Louisiana, LaWanda DuBois and JoAnna DuBois-Goen, both of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Ryan Ray, Chanse Ray, Jeffrey Gerber-Martin, all of Albuquerque and Raven Lente of Rio Rancho; step-grandchildren, Keith Hernandez, Kenny Hernandez, both of Louisiana, and Samantha Goen of Albuquerque; brother, Jack Martin and wife, Betty of Oklahoma; and sister, Betty Riddle of Oklahoma. Johnnie was in the Occupation Forces in Japan-15th Division, and later he was in the 45th Infantry Division-Army National Guard during the Korean Conflict. He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant during his time in the Army. He was also a Past President for IAM Local 1365, as well as holding many other offices over the years. Cremation has taken place. Family will hold memorial services Friday, October 8, 4:00 p.m., at Rio Grande Baptist Church, 2121 Gunclub Rd. SW. Arrangements by Aspen Funeral Alternatives, 1935 Juan Tabo NE.
