Barbara J. Davidson, 82, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away on October 4, 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents, L.A. and Virginia Rice, of Elm Street; and her husband of 53 years, Wastal Earl Davidson. Mrs. Davidson was a 1934 graduate of Albuquerque High School and an alumni of Phi Mu Sorority at UNM. She retired as a Social Worker for the State of New Mexico and had volunteered many hours at the All Faiths Receiving Home. She is survived by her son, William Davidson; daughter, Joan Verplank; grandchildren, Sydney Simone McKinstry, Andrej and Kyle Davidson; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Tatiana McKinstry; niece, Martha Bunch; nephew, Charles Rice. A Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 619 Copper NW, Albuquerque, NM, on Friday, October 8, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. with Father King officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the All Faiths Receiving Home, 1709 Moon NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112, phone (505) 271-0329. Cremation arrangements were made by the Sunrise Society of New Mexico, 891-8200.
