Obituary for Robertson

Dr. Roy R. Robertson, 96, a resident of Albuquerque since 1940, died Sunday, October 3, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Berdella Mellum Robertson of the family home; son, John Robertson of Santa Fe; daughter, Selma Robertson of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Barbie Robertson of Santa Fe; and brother, Robert Schultz and wife, Carlene of Las Vegas, NV. Dr. Robertson was a graduate of the University of North Dakota in 1928, and North Western University School of Medicine in 1931. He married Berdella Mellum in 1931. Dr. Robertson had a private practice in Albuquerque from 1940 to 1977. He was the Clinical Instructor in Medicine at UNM School of Medicine from it's organization until 1968. Dr. Robertson was the President of Bernalillo County Medical Association in 1946. He was a member of the State Medical Society and the American Medical Association. For many years, he was the chairman of Health and Safety Committee for the Boy Scouts of America. He was active in the Watercolor Society, Genealogy Club, and the Scandinavian Club. Services will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School Rd. NE, with Pastor Larry A. Wright and Pastor Melinda J. Wagner officiating. Entombment will follow at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
