Carmen (Shortie) Medina, a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years, passed away September 25, 1999, after a long illness. Mrs. Medina was born in Morenci, AZ in 1921. She was a retired nurse from the V.A. Hospital. Mrs. Medina is survived by a daughter, Rose Marie Medina; two sons, Alfred (Jimmy) Medina and Danny (Dino) Medina; daughter-in-law, Jeanne; five grandchildren, Sandy Sanchez, Judy Medina, Jerry Ullom, and Jessica and Amanda Medina; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Chelsea Sanchez. Memorial Rosary will be recited, Tuesday, 7:00 p.m, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, with Fr. Richard Olona, Celebrant. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
