Eddie Richardson Jr., age 79, passed away on Monday, September 20, 1999. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Richardson; and step-son, Kenneth Lewis. He is survived by five step-daughters, Doris Lewis, Jean Noland and husband, Kenneth, Edna Hadley and husband, Carl, Theresa Edwards and husband, Maurice, Margaret Hill and husband, Jimmy; two step-sons, Ruben Owens and Vernon Owens; 31 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 1999, at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 27, 1999, at Palm Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, with Rev. Cates officiating. Pallbearers are Mr. Bob Lewis, Mr. Robert Thompson, Mr. Daniel Dean, Mr. Chris Curtis, Mr. Grady Young and Mr. Arnold Allen. Honorary pallbearers are sons and grandsons. Burial will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM at 2:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 316 57th SW (57th and Churchhill) upon return from Santa Fe. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.
