Obituary for Adamson

Mildred Illene Adamson, 69, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 1999. She is survived by her three children, Guy Johnston and wife, Marti of Alaska, J.J. Parsons and husband, Doug of Albuquerque and Terry Johnston of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren, Josh Parsons, Shawn Parsons, Carrie Johnston, Kristi Johnston, Jamie Johnston and Meghann Johnston. Mrs. Adamson was preceded in death by her husband, Einer"Swede" Adamson in 1991. She worked for Goodyear Aerospace in Akron, OH for over 30 years and retired as the Assistant to the President. Her love for her family brought her to New Mexico 11 years ago following her retirement, where she actively pursued her love of arts and crafts. Mrs. Adamson's passion for sports, coupled with her high school cheerleading experience, found her leading the cheers at her grandson's soccer and tennis events. She volunteered at Bear Canyon Senior Center and had a passion for traveling with family and friends. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose kind and gentle nature has touched many lives, she will be greatly missed. Services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Sandia Presbyterian Church, 10704 Paseo del Norte NE, with Reverend Allen McCallum officiating. Private interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, c/o Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit, P.O.
