Obituary for Lannon

M. Martha Lannon passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 1999 at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospice Center. She was born in Delmar, IA on October 19, 1915, the eighth child of John FitzPatrick and Margie Klise FitzPatrick. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. Lannon. She is survived by one son, Michael Lannon and wife, Mary of Louisville, KY; three daughters, Molly Lannon of Albuquerque, Margie Byers and husband, Dave of San Diego, CA, and Elizabeth Lannon-Baudino and husband, Gary of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Alice, John and Katie Lannon, Brady and Caitlin Byers and Erin and Anna Baudino; and numerous nieces and nephews. Martha was a graduate of St. Scholastica College of Duluth, MN. She worked as a social worker for the USO during WWII. Martha later worked as an adoptive social worker for Catholic Charities of Joilet, IL. She was active in Birthright of Albuquerque. Martha dedicated her life to compassion for and service to others. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 9:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Catholic Church with Father Joe D. Vigil, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit, c/o Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, P.O.
