Obituary for Oster

Robert L. Oster, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, August 1, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ridenbaugh-Oster; brother, Cornelius Oster and wife, Nancy of Rushville, IN; sister, Connie Bateman; and nephew, William Bateman, both of Papillion, NE. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Damstra Oster in 1984. Mr. Oster was born on August 9, 1919 in Rushville, IN. He married Ruth Ridenbaugh in 1986. Mr. Oster enlisted in the U.S. Air Force a few days after the invasion of Pearl Harbor. He was stationed in Albuquerque from 1942 to 1946. He worked for Creamland Dairies from 1946 to 1984. Services will be held Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University NE, with Pastor Lemuel M. Boyles officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Jack Weisen, Carl Dabbs, Steve Osborne, Max Smith, Caleb Liyai, and Kevin A. Lambert.
