Obituary for Ortiz

Mr. Carmel R. Ortiz, 77, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on July 11, 1999. Mr. Ortiz is the beloved husband of 53 years to Mrs. Corina Ortiz. Mr. Ortiz is also survived by his two sons, Ralph Ortiz and C.C. Estvanko, Robert Ortiz and wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Geraldine Martinez and husband, Manuel, Emily Naranjo and husband, Leo and Deborah Mascarenas and husband, Ernest; grandchildren, Ralph Jr., Randy, Evette, Valerie, Marissa, Anthony, Annette, Sean, Jarrod, Jamin, Alisia, Ambrose, Pamela, Carlos and Anthony; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Petrita Lolis; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Ortiz was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church for over 46 years, a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy, he was a former usher at St. Therese Church, past president of the St. Vincent De Paul Society, he loved working around his yard and gardening. He loved his wife and family very much. A rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Gabriella Nieto, reciting. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 300 Mildred N.W. with visitation after 9:30 a.m. Father John Plans, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Anthony Martinez, Ralph Ortiz Jr., Randy Ortiz, Sean Martinez, Jarrod Martinez and Jamin Martinez. Honorary will be, Eddie Arambula and Ambrose Aragon. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
