Jason Monarrez, 19, a resident of Albuquerque for 11 years, died on Tuesday, June 29, 1999. He is survived by his mother, Prescilla Monarrez of Albuquerque; father, Joe Monarrez of Pamona, CA; brother, Ernie Melendrez; sister, Laura Pena, both of Albuquerque; brother, Joey Monarrez; sister, Julie Dolezal, both of California; maternal grandmother, Cecelia Del Real of Albuquerque; paternal grandmother, Theodora Monarrez of Los Angeles, CA; nieces, Jennifer, Celina, Marissa, Sarah, Emily and Jessica; nephews, Joshua and Jeremiah; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Gabriella Nieto, reciting. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 9:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, 5525 Fortuna Rd. NW, with Father Gene Gries, Celebrant. Pallbearers will be Ernie, Joshua, Gerard, Joey, Ricky and Rocky. Cremation will take place following the services. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
