Obituary for Padilla

Mr. Fidel B. Padilla, 76, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 1999. Mr. Padilla was the beloved husband of 52 years to Mrs. Nora Padilla; and dear father to four surviving sons, James Duran and wife, Dorothy, Arnold Padilla and wife, Stephanie, Richard Padilla and wife, Bennie and Larry Padilla and wife, Michelle; 13 grandchildren, Michael, Danette, Diane, Lorenzo, Chris, Yolanda, Emily, Caitie, Alejandro, Benai, Danika, Jacob and Hailee; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Elias Padilla and wife, Rose; six sisters, Paula Romero and husband, Florencio, Gloria Gabaldon and husband, Florencio, Aurora Sandoval and husband, Procopio, Stella Padilla, Priscilla Padilla and Judy Padilla; one aunt, Phyllis Urioste; one uncle, Flavio Padilla; sister-in-law, Virginia Lueras and husband, Tony; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Padilla was a member of the Catholic Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII and a member of the Cement Mason and Plasterers Local #254. A Rosary for Mr. Padilla will be recited Tuesday evening, 7:00 p.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, with visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Ignacio Gallegos, reciting. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Church with final viewing at the church after 8:30 a.m. Father John Shedlock, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Duran, Lorenzo Duran, Jacob Padilla, Alejandro Padilla, Benai Padilla and Danika Padilla. Honorary will be Chris Duran and Danny Lueras. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
