Kirby Blakeney, age 88, May 26, 1910-May 25, 1999. Mr. Blakeney was born in Dallas, TX. A resident of Albuquerque since 1942, was called home to be with the Lord on May 25, 1999. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Jane; sons, Brian W. Blakeney and wife, Janice, Eugene N. Blakeney and wife, Patsy, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Pam Croft and son, Jeffrey Martinez, Tonnie and Greg Doose and son, Andy, Derek Blakeney and wife, Jenny and son, Avis Trent; daughters, Kulani, Heaven, Emily, Ashley and Sabrey, Talie Blakeney and son, Joseph Ray and daughter, Selina and Nalin Blakeney, all of Albuquerque. He was a Civil Service Annuitant who retired from US Civil Service in 1976. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 28, 1999 in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. with Ken Moore officiating. Derek Blakeney, Greg Doose, Michael Martinez, Nalin Blakeney, Ray Vallejos and Rick Simpson will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.
