Obituary for Garcia

Amelia L. Garcia, age 90, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, passed away on April 29, 1999. Amelia Garcia is survived by one son, Patricio Garcia and wife, Mary; two daughters, Mary Frances Reza and husband, Henry, Juanita Bercier and husband, Eli; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Vernon, Rose Marie, Kathy, Michael, Craig, and Dwayne; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by one sister, Rose Ragni; and two brothers, Julio and Eddie Lopez; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Garcia had worked for 30 years with the Phelps Dodge Corporation in Dawson, NM and 20 years with the Federal Government. Before moving to Albuquerque she served as organist and choir director for many years at St. John the Baptist Church in Dawson, NM. She was a member of St. Therese Parish and the Genealogical Society for many years. The Wake Service will be held 7:00 p.m., Sunday, at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery with Michael Garcia, Patrick Reza, Vernon Reza, Dwayne Bercier, Craig Bercier, Vincent Lopez, and Robert Reza serving as casket bearers. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of arrangements.
