Tom Berry, 72, was born on December 18, 1926 in Raton, NM, a resident of La Cueva since 1970, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999. He is survived by his brother, F. Patrick Berry and wife, Connie of Los Lunas; sister, Ellen Starkovich and husband, Bill of Edgewood; 13 nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; brother-in-law, Ed Tackett of T or C; sister-in-law, Eleanor Berry of Pueblo, CO; and dear friends, Joe Grider, Justin Grider and Jeff Grider, all of La Cueva. Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Aileen Berry; brothers, John Berry Jr., Eugene Berry and Daniel Berry; sister, Marjorie Tackett; and dear friend, Linda Grider. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Jemez Springs, with Fr. James Sampson, s.P., Celebrant. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Grider, Joe Grider, Justin Grider, Bill Starkovich, Matt Starkovich and Daniel Berry. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
